Salvation Army Adelaide Congress Hall

The term Corps are also known as the Salvos community churches. They seek to advance the future of people by building stronger character, encouraging Christian values, promoting emotional health and stimulating creative abilities. The corps is a base to where community involvement stems from involving feeding the homeless to child care groups to name a couple examples.

Getting Involved

Since its beginnings The Salvation Army has been a means through which many volunteers can be involved in community work.

In helping The Salvation Army in their important work you will be contributing to the community which brings a sense of worth to you and to those you are helping. You will also get the chance to develop personal skills as well as gain work experience, giving you the opportunity to receive a reference which will assist you in job applications.

Working with the Salvos will make you a partner with us in our community service programs, which last year assisted more than one million Australians. With your help, we will continue to be there for those in crisis.
