St Vincent de Paul (NT) Inc

The St Vincent de Paul Society aspires to be recognised as a caring Catholic charity offering "a hand up" to people in need. We do this by respecting their dignity, sharing our hope, and encouraging them to take control of their own destiny. The Society serves those in need regardless of creed, ethnic or social background, health, gender, or political opinions.

Getting Involved

Volunteering with us is flexible and dates and times can work around your other commitments.

Vinnies Food Vans: These operate in Alice Springs and Darwin and provide friendship, light meal and drinks to those who are homeless or estranged.

Hospital and asylum seeker visits: There is a range in age and need, but all share in benefitting from their contact with us.

Vinnies shops and warehouses: We need people who can provide sales amd customer service and sort goods and clothes in Darwin, Palmerston, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.

Youth Services: Help run fun activities and provide mentoring support.

Projects: Events such as the CEO Sleepout always require volunteers.

Accommodation: Support and meals are required for homeless services in Darwin and Katherine.
