Olivewood - National Trust Property

This 1880's wooden-floored house was originally designed as a Canadian log cabin for the Chaffey brothers from Canada, who established the irrigation and fruit growing area of Renmark. It remains a working orangery and the orchard is fully operational, including its famous olive trees. Devonshire teas available.

Getting Involved

The National Trust estimates that it has over 1,000 volunteers in South Australia. Volunteers come from all walks of life - school students, Mums and Dads at home, retired professionals and the like. In the last financial year they contributed around 125,000 hours (worth $2.5 million) to conserving South Australian heritage and undertook a wide variety of roles within the National Trust of South Australia. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact the National Trust SA Office on (08) 8202 9200 or via the website.
