The Blue Rock Foundation Sydney
The Blue Rock Foundation is a not for profit organisation formed in 2010 which aims to give opportunities and support for young people by providing free mentoring. Our latest program - 'Into Work' - is a joint effort with City of Sydney Youth Services that provides mentors for young people who are seeking employment, providing support through what can be a difficult and stressful process.
Getting Involved
We are currently looking for mentors to help with our 'Into Work' program. People from all walks of life our welcome in our team. Whether you are a young person yourself, newly retired, or anywhere in between, as long you have a smile on your face and are eager to help out we would love to have you on board.
As a mentor you would be helping out the young people through the whole process of getting a job, from identifying suitable positions, making resumes, searching for jobs, preparing for interviews and maintaining motivation once employment is attained.
Mentoring takes place in the afternoon in any of the youth centres around the city (Erskineville, Millers Point, Pyrmont, Redfern, Woolloomooloo and Glebe), the times and locations are flexible.
We look forward to hearing from you.
