Marrickville SES Unit

The NSW State Emergency Service (SES) is an emergency and rescue service dedicated to assisting the community in storms, floods and tsunamis. It is made up almost entirely of volunteers, with 228 units located throughout NSW. The units comprise of approximately 10,000 volunteer members.

Getting Involved

Being an SES volunteer is about being able to help your community become safer by helping them respond better to floods, storms and other emergencies. The SES offers many opportunities for you to contribute to your community.

The NSW SES is introducing a 'day unit' model so that people who are free during business hours can join.
