Marist Youth Care, Blacktown

Marist Youth Care (MYC) is a not for profit organisation dedicated to the rehabilitation and support of youth at risk aged from 12 years through to young adulthood. These young people have been constantly faced with severe life challenges. For many of our youth a driver’s licence is the key to employment and a brighter future.

Getting Involved

Young people in care need strong role models in their lives. By spending as little as an hour a week with a young person, you could make a huge difference in their life.
Driving a motor vehicle is one of the most complex tasks a person can learn to perform.
Most young learner drivers have a parent to help them with this complex task. Young people in care, who are separated from their families, often have no one to teach them how to drive responsibly, observing the road rules.

Volunteers are needed to teach young people to drive using a late model, comprehensively insured car supplied and maintained by Marist Youth Care.

If you have a full driving licence and enjoy working with young people, please call.
