Ginninderra District Girl Guides

Girl Guides is the largest movement in the world for girls. There are 10 million Guides in 144 countries around the world. Girls aged between 5 and 18 years have fun and learn skills that develop their self-confidence and community responsibility. Leadership opportunities exist for women over 18 years of age. The Ginninderra District operates from the Hawker Guide Hall on Walhallow Street, Hawker.

Getting Involved

There are many ways to help:
1. join Support Group - support unit leaders, participate in decision making, assist with maintaining the hall, and promote Guides in the community, raise funds to assist with hall insurance and maintenance, Leader training , resources and equipment
2. become a unit helper - help out a unit on a regular basis
3. become a Guide Leader or Guiding Assistant - run a unit with a team of leaders, no experience or special skills required - all training is provided.
4. help with hall maintenance - there are jobs that we can't have unqualified volunteers do due to OH&S legislation and tradesman can cost a lot - if you are a plumber, builder, or electrician we have a list of jobs to be done.
