Upper Murrumbidgee Demonstration Reach (UMDR)

UMDR is a project to improve fish habitat in the upper Murrumbidgee. The project currently is targeting woody weeds in the riparian zone particularly in the gorges between Bredbo and the Angle Crossing. But they also have activities that support research into native fish and work with landowners who want to do riparian projects to protect and enhance fish habitat

Getting Involved

UMDR run regular conservation rafting events along the river between Bredbo and the ACT to map and treat environmental weeds and other issues along the river
