Shalvey Community Garden

Seeking to involve the community, government and businesses in the development of the garden to ensure it's long-term viability. One of the aims of the community garden is to demonstrate principles of sustainability including water conservation, waste minimisation and basic permaculture principles.

Getting Involved

The gardens have regular opening hours/days where volunteers meet to work in the gardens. Volunteers are able to contribute as much or as little time to the gardens as possible. Volunteering at the community gardens allows individuals to learn new or increase their gardening skills, enjoy freshly grown produce, practice ways to minimise waste and meet people from their local community.
