Friends of Lord Howe Island

The Friends of Lord Howe Island are a strong, active community-based Group, creating change in the local community. Getting involved with this group means helping build a community that conserves and promotes the World Heritage values of Lord Howe. You can become actively involved in producing positive environmental outcomes.

Getting Involved

Members of the Friends of Lord Howe, are formed from both the local community and non-residents, who work with the Lord Howe Island Board to:

- Protect and restore the islands ecosystems
- Promote the significance of Lord Howes unique natural and cultural heritage
- Organise island activities which have benefits for conservation
- Lobby for funding to support conservation efforts
- Help with bush regeneration, surveys and other hands-on projects
- Initiate new avenues for community support
