Ronald McDonald House Monash

Ronald Mcdonald houses are attached to major women or children's hospitals and provide a 'home-away-from-home' for families of children with serious illness, along with the support of experienced House Managers & other families in a similar situation. Each House is administered by an independent board that organises staff & the big-hearted volunteers who manage the day-to-day operations.

Getting Involved

Childhood illness can have a devastating effect on families. On top of all the fear and uncertainty comes the practicalities of managing the family when the child is away in hospital, often for extended periods of time. In a country as big as Australia, specialist care may be a long way from home and many families simply can't afford to stay in hotels while their children receive treatment.

Each House relies on a team of volunteers who assist with a range of activities and ensure the House provides a friendly supportive environment. If you would like to volunteeer then get in touch via phone or email.

If howeever you would like to help in an alternative way you can also fundraise or alternatively make a donation directly at
