Rippon Lea Estate - National Trust Property

Located just 20 minutes from Melbourne's Central Business District, this historic property is one of the great private estates of early Victoria. The spacious mansion is a "must-see" and the garden is of international significance, boasting a lake, islands, bridges, grotto and windmill and a grand Victorian fernery.

Getting Involved

The National Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to assist with maintaining its activities throughout the state. Volunteers support a small paid staff at Head Office and at our historic properties by generously giving their time, skills and experience. Have you considered extending your experience, learning new skills and enriching your life by becoming involved as a volunteer with the National Trust? Orientation and training is provided and a regular commitment of at least one day a fortnight, over a 12-month period, is generally required. See the National Trust website to find out how you can help protect Victoria's heritage.
