Portarlington Mill - National Trust Property
This fully restored building was originally built in 1857 as a steam flourmill. It has been used for a variety of purposes as the needs of the Bellarine Peninsula and the colony of Victoria evolved. It now listed as a protected property by the National Trust of Victoria.
Getting Involved
The National Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to assist with maintaining its activities throughout the state. Volunteers support a small paid staff at Head Office and at our historic properties by generously giving their time, skills and experience. Have you considered extending your experience, learning new skills and enriching your life by becoming involved as a volunteer with the National Trust? Orientation and training is provided and a regular commitment of at least one day a fortnight, over a 12-month period, is generally required. See the National Trust website to find out how you can help protect Victoria's heritage.
