Motts Cottage - National Trust Property

One of the earliest surviving buildings in the region, the original two room wooden cottage dates from the 1840s. The unusual two storey stone section with its Gothic styling was completed around 1851 and is now listed as a protected property by the National Trust of Victoria.

Getting Involved

The National Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to assist with maintaining its activities throughout the state. Volunteers support a small paid staff at Head Office and at our historic properties by generously giving their time, skills and experience. Have you considered extending your experience, learning new skills and enriching your life by becoming involved as a volunteer with the National Trust? Orientation and training is provided and a regular commitment of at least one day a fortnight, over a 12-month period, is generally required. See the National Trust website to find out how you can help protect Victoria's heritage.
