Mooramong - National Trust Property

Mooramong homestead, built in the 1870s, was extensively altered in 1937 to reflect the elegant lifestyle of DJS (Scobie) Mackinnon and his wife, the Hollywood silent screen star Claire Adams. In accordance with the wishes of the Mackinnons, the National Trust has established a native fauna and flora reserve on the site.

Getting Involved

The National Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to assist with maintaining its activities throughout the state. Volunteers support a small paid staff at Head Office and at our historic properties by generously giving their time, skills and experience. Have you considered extending your experience, learning new skills and enriching your life by becoming involved as a volunteer with the National Trust? Orientation and training is provided and a regular commitment of at least one day a fortnight, over a 12-month period, is generally required. See the National Trust website to find out how you can help protect Victoria's heritage.
