Hallam CFA

Our Vision To work together with communities to keep Victorians safe from fire and other emergencies. Our Mission To protect lives and property.

Getting Involved

The Hallam Brigade consists of Senior, Auxiliary and Junior members.

The Junior's are aged between 11-16 years, and meet every Tuesday night from 7pm to 8pm.
The Auxiliary meet the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.
The senior brigade meet every Monday from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.
There are over 60 members at the brigade, both paid staff (CFA employees) and volunteers. The Hallam Brigade responds to over 1700 calls each year.

In order to perform our tasks, we train on a regular basis. Training varies from theory to practical and covers a full range of tasks, from the basics of 'bowling' a hose, MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident - car crashes) rescue and HAZMAT (Hazardous Materials - gas, chemicals, radiological etc) operations.
