Nerang Riverkeepers Group

The Nerang Riverkeepers Group was formed in 2001 and is a dedicated bushcare group partnered with the Natural Areas Management Unit (NAMU) under the Beaches to Bushland Volunteer Restoration program. The group focuses on restoring degraded riparian areas along the Nerang River and are currently restoring Swift Park

Getting Involved

Volunteering in a bushcare group is a rewarding way to make a difference to your local natural environment. Meet like-minded people and learn new skills that can be applied in your own backyard. Join in activities such as identifying and controlling weeds, identifying and encouraging native species, maintaining your site and planting local trees where required.
