Playford Scout Group
Scouts South Australia involves boys and girls aged 6 26 in the Scout Program where they engage in peer to peer mentoring and healthy, outdoor adventurous activities. Through Scouts, youth gain confidence in themselves, learn problem solving, risk management as well as life and leadership skills. They understand the importance of honesty, integrity and community service; and as a result our young people become healthy, active citizens, business leaders and role models in their local community.
Getting Involved
There are plenty of ways adults can get involved and contribute to the positive development of young people in the Scout Program. Volunteer roles include assisting with activities, helping to fundraise, providing transport, helping with DIY jobs or gardening at the Scout Hall, assisting with food preparation and joining the Group Committee and/or assisting with administration.
Adult volunteers can also choose to undetake training and become an Assistant Leader or a Leader with one of the Sections: Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers.
