Mercy Connect

Mercy Connect is a project of Mercy Works which is an organisation dedicated to serving people who suffer from poverty, sickness or lack of education. Mercy Connect engages volunteers to provide support and mentoring to refugee children in their schools.

Getting Involved

Mercy Connect volunteers commit to volunteering for half a day per week in a school. Currently, we are supporting children in schools in Heathridge, Balga, Koondoola, Mirrabooka, Dianella, Leederville, Langford, Thornlie and Kardinya. The key responsibilities of the volunteer are to assist newly arrived refugee students in their learning by providing support that nurtures student well-being and self-esteem. Volunteers provide literacy and numeracy support and assist students in understanding classroom instructions and tasks. APPLY NOW TO BE READY FOR COMMENCEMENT OF SCHOOL YEAR 2018.
