Poole Street Bridge - National Trust Property

The Goldfields Water Supply Scheme was originally laid under the Avon River in Northam. Bad flooding in 1917 caused the pipe to fail and a new solution was conceived - a timber trestle bridge that carried the pipeline over the water. The pipe now crosses the river on two new bridges. Poole Street Bridge is one of 25 sites on the Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail.
