Drop Zone: Harvey Norman Hobart
Drop Zone is a FREE electronic waste (e-waste) recycling service. E-waste is the fastest growing waste stream in Australia and only about 17% is recycled at the moment. At Drop Zone over 95% of the product will be recycled in to something new. This reduces the need to mine raw materials, helping the environment. With over 370 locations around Australia there is bound to be one near you in Hobart.
Getting Involved
Everyone has unused computer gear sitting somewhere in their home, or an old TV that has been downgraded from room to room until it ended up in the garage. All of these items can now be recycled for free at a Drop Zone. Our local and national recyclers are exceeding the environmental targets set by the Federal Government and many of them support social enterprises through employment opportunities. So grab that old lap top, broken keyboard or cords, load your old TV and head to a Drop Zone to do your bit to help the planet.
