Sailing Vessel Lady Nelson

The Tasmanian Sail Training Association operates the replica square rigged brig "The Lady Nelson". You can get on board and sail Tasmania's stunning waterways.

Getting Involved

View this video to see what we do.

You can get involved in sailing the Lady Nelson as crew. Mostly sailing around southeast Tasmania but longer trips around Tasmania and sometimes interstate are offered. Other areas where you can help are staffing the office or helping to maintain the ship. Start as a trainee and you can end up as a Captain: 5 have done this over the last few years.
The organisation provides training for new volunteers free of charge.
The Lady Nelson Office is open most weekdays 1000-1500. .
