CHATS a not-for-profit organisation that works to reduce lonliness and isolation for people over the age of 60 who live independently in Tasmania. CHATS provides social activities and events for people and transport to get there and back. Activities are varied and include events such as bus trips, BBQ's, visits to garden centres, Op shopping, fishing trips, concerts men's sheds, lunc

Getting Involved

CHATS seeks volunteer drivers(normal licence required) for day trips and regular activities.
Activity Volunteers to help make activities and events a success and run smoothly.
We also need Calls Volunteers to make a weekly friendly phone call to CHATS Participants who may be isolated or lonely. Calls can be made from our office or from the caller's home after training.
All Volunteers are offered full training and support and CHATS is a supportive and friendly environment with the focus on having a good time, promoting social inclusion and simply having fun.
