Gran's Van

Gran's Van provides nutritious food, blankets, information when requested, occasional referral and companionship to people who are in need. The Association provides to any persons who are lonely, hungry or at risk, regardless of lifestyle, circumstances or opinion. Offering these people food, companionship and practical assistance, is seen as a means of 're-connecting' them to society.

Getting Involved

Gran's Van is looking for more volunteers to join the team! The service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and we are looking for volunteers for food preparation, serving the food and driving the van. Food preparation is from 5.55pm to 6.55pm, and the serving and driving are from 6.30pm until 8.45pm. If you are reliable and friendly, able to relate to people from all walks of life, listen to clients without judgement and always have a smile on your face, then Gran's Van wants you! You will be asked to volunteer every 1-3 months. Please contact Malcolm Paterson, Volunteer Co-ordinator, for more information.
